A number of universities will be offering Korean classes using “Learn! KOREAN with BTS“!
On August 12, Big Hit Entertainment’s independent educational company Big Hit Edu, the Korea Foundation (KF), and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies will hold a signing ceremony finalizing their contract to work together in promoting and vitalizing Korean studies abroad.
Through this agreement, the three entities will contribute their expertise to meet the increasing demands for Korean education abroad while promoting the understanding of Korean language. From the upcoming fall semester, KF’s eSchool Korean language classes that utilize “Learn! KOREAN with BTS” will be offered in a number of foreign colleges.
Middlebury College of the United States, École Normale Supérieure (ENS) and EDHEC Business School of France, Ain Shams University of Egypt, and University of Languages & International Studies and Than Long University of Vietnam will open formal Korean lectures that use “Learn! KOREAN with BTS.” Big Hit Edu, KF, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies also plan to expand their business target in the future.
Big Hit Edu’s CEO Choi Young Nam shared his resolve to vitalize Korean language learning, saying, “KF and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies are all partners who have high understanding of our content, so we’re anticipating that we’ll be able to create even greater synergy in the future.”

BTS will be one of the recipients of the James A. Van Fleet Award this year, a prestigious award given by The Korea Society since 1995 for contributions to the promotion of U.S.-Korea relations.
BTS will be presented with the award at The Korea Society’s 2020 Annual Gala on Wednesday, October 7, which, the organization has announced, will be held virtually due to health and safety concerns surrounding COVID-19.

A song from BTS’s upcoming Japanese album will be featured in the OST (original soundtrack) for a movie!
On July 9, Yahoo Japan and other Japanese media outlets reported that BTS’s Japanese track “Your Eyes Tell” would be the theme song for the Japanese film of the same name.
The song “Your Eyes Tell,” which was produced by Jungkook, is a b-side track from BTS’s fourth Japanese studio album, “Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~.” The lead single for the album, “Stay Gold,” has already been released. “Stay Gold” also featured as the OST for the Japanese drama “Spiral Labyrinth – DNA Forensic Investigation.”

“Sweet Night” by BTS’s V has now reached No. 1 on 105 iTunes Top Songs charts, after topping the chart in the regions of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Mozambique!
This means the song has now surpassed BTS’s “Black Swan” to become the track with the highest number of No. 1s on iTunes Top Songs charts.
BTS’s V has set a new record on iTunes as a solo artist!
V released his self-composed song “Sweet Night” for the “Itaewon Class” OST on March 13. On the day of its release, “Sweet Night” topped the iTunes Top Songs charts in 77 regions worldwide, and by May 25, the number had risen to 88 regions. With this, V had broken PSY’s record for the highest number of iTunes Top Songs chart No. 1s for a track by a Korean soloist.

BTS members have recently enrolled in graduate school!
On July 7, Metro News reported that six members of BTS are enrolled in Hanyang Cyber University. Previously in 2017, BTS’s Jin enrolled in graduate school at Hanyang Cyber University. According to the report, five BTS members, excluding the youngest member Jungkook, recently enrolled as new students at Hanyang Cyber University for the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program in Advertising & Media.
Following the report, Big Hit Entertainment clarified, “RM, Suga, and J-Hope enrolled in Hanyang Cyber University’s graduate school for an MBA in Advertising & Media in March last year, and they are currently attending school. Jimin and V will enter Hanyang Cyber University’s graduate school for an MBA in Advertising & Media in September.” According to Big Hit, Jin is also currently attending Hanyang Cyber University, and Jungkook is attending Global Cyber University with a major in Broadcasting and Entertainment.

BTS has once again made history!
The group shared the track “Black Swan” as a pre-release single on January 17 for their mini album “Map of the Soul: 7,” and they later showcased the song through a stunning MV.
“Black Swan” topped realtime charts in Korea and also ranked on Billboard’s Hot 100. It swept iTunes Top Songs charts soon after its release, and it reached No. 1 in at least 93 regions as of the morning of January 18.

BTS has made history on the Billboard charts once again!
The group’s new Japanese pre-release track “Stay Gold” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart for the week ending in July 4, making it the group’s 20th song to top the chart.
With this latest achievement, BTS has now broken their own record for the most No. 1s achieved on the chart by any artist in history.

The upcoming drama based on BTS Universe titled “Blue Sky” (literal title) has begun its production process!
Previously, Big Hit Entertainment announced the production of a drama that will tell the story of seven boys who meet for the first time in the BTS Universe. The drama will include fictional aspects and star actors rather than the BTS members themselves. The characters will also have different names from the BTS members.
