BTS’s latest MV has achieved an astounding number of views in the first 24 hours!

BTS released the music video for “Fake Love,” the title track of their third studio album “Love Yourself: Tear” at 6 p.m. KST on May 18. As of 6 p.m. KST on May 19, only 24 hours after its release, the music video had reached just under 41 million views at a count of around 40,961,289 on YouTube! However, an official count from YouTube will be needed to know the exact record.

[News] BTS Sets New Record For Most Unique Listeners On Melon Within 1st Hour Of Release [180519]

BTS has broken yet another record!

On May 18, BTS set a new record on Melon, Korea’s largest music streaming site, with their new title track “Fake Love.” The song recorded 107,885 unique listeners within the first hour of its release at 6 p.m. KST, marking the highest number achieved by any song since Melon’s chart reform in February 2017.

The previous record for most unique listeners within the first hour of a song’s release was held by Wanna One’s “Beautiful,” which recorded 102,869 unique listeners in the first hour following its release in November of last year. Meanwhile, BTS’s “DNA” recorded 93,899 unique listeners within the first hour of its release in September 2017.

BTS’s new full-length album “Love Yourself: Tear” has also been dominating Melon’s realtime chart. As of 11 a.m. KST on May 19, songs from the album have swept the top six spots on the chart, with “Fake Love” continuing its reign at No. 1.

[News] BigHit Entertainment Responds To Death Threats Against BTS’s Jimin [180514]

BigHit Entertainment has addressed the recent death threats made against BTS’s Jimin.

Earlier this month, an anonymous Internet user posted a threat online that described plans to shoot Jimin at BTS’s upcoming sold-out concert in Fort Worth, Texas, which is scheduled to take place on September 16. The Fort Worth police confirmed in a Twitter post on May 10 that it was aware of and currently investigating the threat.

[News] BTS Achieves Triple Platinum Status In Japan With “Face Yourself” [180511]

BTS has been certified platinum for the third time in Japan!

On May 10, the Recording Industry Association of Japan announced that BTS’s latest Japanese album, “Face Yourself,” had officially been certified platinum after recording over 250,000 album sales.

BTS previously set a new record in Japan with the single “MIC Drop/DNA/Crystal Snow” earlier this year, when the group became the only foreign artist to go double platinum with a single released in 2017. According to the RIAJ’s certification thresholds, albums are certified gold at 100,000, platinum at 250,000 and double platinum at 500,000 in sales.

With the success of their third Japanese full-length studio album “Face Yourself,” which topped the Oricon charts immediately after its release on April 4, BTS has now officially achieved platinum status in Japan for the third time.

The group is currently preparing for a comeback on May 18 with the full-length album “Love Yourself: Tear.”

As they did for “Love Yourself: Her,” a “BTS Comeback Show” will be held for the group’s upcoming album “Love Yourself: Tear.”

The new “BTS Comeback Show” will feature performances of the title track and B-side tracks from “Love Yourself: Tear.” Special videos will include a BTS member pretending to be an Army, the members recharging in their own unique ways, and behind-the-scenes stories of their new album.

Fans of the “Star Wars” franchise annually celebrate May 4 as Star Wars day, with various festivities and events taking place worldwide. This year, the Star Wars-themed charity program Star Wars: Force for Change U.S. created a global “Roar For Change” social media campaign with the goal of raising $1 million for UNICEF USA.
