BTS will be taking part in a special hosted by James Corden!
On March 25 local time, E! News reported that James Corden will be hosting an episode called “Homefest: James Corden’s Late Late Show Special.” With people around the globe staying at home during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, James Corden will be hosting the special from his garage as he talks with celebrities from their own homes!
The guests being interviewed in the episode include BTS, David Blaine, Will Ferrell, John Legend, and Billie Eilish.
In addition, artists will be performing from all around the world. BTS will perform from South Korea, Andrea Bocelli will perform from Italy, Dua Lipa from London, Billie Eilish with Finneas from Los Angeles, and John Legend also from Los Angeles.

On March 26, Billboard Japan reported that BTS’s new song had been selected as the theme song for the upcoming Japanese drama “Spiral Labyrinth – DNA Forensic Investigation” (literal translation).
According to the report, the new song is titled “Stay Gold” and will be part of BTS’s new Japanese album that is expected to drop this summer. This will be the group’s first Japanese release since last year’s “Lights/Boy With Luv.”
The report includes comments from BTS and Tanaka Kei, the drama’s lead actor, about the OST. BTS stated, “We are happy to be able to participate in the theme song for the drama ‘Spiral Labyrinth.’ We hope that many people will look forward to it with love and interest. Please look forward to ‘Spiral Labyrinth’ and ‘Stay Gold!’”

BTS’s V has the second most popular digital song in the United States this week!
On the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart for the week ending in March 28, V’s self-composed track “Sweet Night” debuts at No. 2. Forbes reports that the song sold over 11,000 copies in its first tracking frame, according to Nielsen Music.
This is the first time that a solo track by V has entered the Top 10 of the Digital Song Sales chart. “Sweet Night” was released as an OST for the drama “Itaewon Class,” which stars V’s good friend Park Seo Joon, whom he met in 2016 when they acted together in the drama “Hwarang.”

V released “Sweet Night” at 6 p.m. KST on March 13 as the 12th OST of the drama. As of March 14, the song topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 77 countries around the world including the U.S., U.K, France, Canada, Italy, Brazil, Russia, Portugal, Belgium, Indonesia, Denmark, Argentina, Australia, and many more.

BTS has clinched the top spot on Oricon’s monthly albums chart!
On the February albums chart of Japan’s main music statistics site Oricon, BTS’s latest album “Map of the Soul: 7” has grabbed the No. 1 spot with sales of 377,852 units.
“Map of the Soul: 7” debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon weekly albums chart last week, and it takes the No. 4 spot on the chart this week with a further 20,296 units sold.

V is confirmed to sing for the “Itaewon Class” soundtrack!
BTS’s new album is having a record-breaking second week on charts around the world!
Last week, BTS’s fourth full album “Map of the Soul: 7” became the first album by an Asian group to take top spots on all the charts of the world’s five largest music markets: the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. It’s also topped charts in many other regions around the world.
On March 6 local time, the album’s ranking for its second week on the United Kingdom Official Albums Chart was revealed. “Map of the Soul: 7” takes No. 3 on the chart for the week ending on March 12.
This makes it the first album by a Korean artist to spend two weeks in the Top 3 of the Official Albums Chart in the United Kingdom. BTS’s previously highest ranking album on the chart was “Map of the Soul: Persona,” which took No. 1 in its first week and then No. 7 in its second.
Meanwhile, their title track “ON” grabs the No. 45 spot on the Official Singles Chart for the region.
“Map of the Soul: 7” also takes the No. 3 spot in its second week on Germany’s Offizielle Deutsche Charts, becoming the first Korean album to do so.
